Alright guys and gals..here is a new one Im unable to solve. I recently logged into my IE 6 browser to access my hotmail account and was told of a "javascript" error. I followed the posted instructions to solve it and when I did I found it was already set the way it was supposed to be. Now I cannot view any java windows accessed through IE 6. or in my windows XP (you know when ya search for files..the puppy comes up with the info balloon..it comes up blank) I try to use my yahoo messenger and I can see what I type to the person Im typing to..but when I hit send..it comes up blank..anyone who messages me..there window pops up..but the text is blank. Ive done all the reinstallations of the browsers and such but sadly its not fixing anything. Now I try to open my windows media player and I get this message, " The instruction at "ox591c28e9" referrenced memory at "ox595c328e9". The memory could not be "Read". Too many errors too soon ... I fear Im heading for a crash..ANYONE have any ideas??? Ive searched for viruses and the lot but nothing.

Well now see thats where I run into a problem...when I try to open windows like that from system restore or even find files...the windows come up blank or dont even open at all..what do I do then????
The following about using restore points, taken from The Microsoft Site should fix you up. Restore points, BTW, allow you to roll your system back to a configuration you had before problems started.
Quote:
If Windows XP does not start
Start the computer and then press the F8 key when Windows begins to start. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
Use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.
If a boot menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Microsoft Windows XP, and then press ENTER. Windows XP restores the computer to the most recent restore point.
If Windows XP does start
Log on to Windows as Administrator.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
LOL..ok yer missing it..I can log on..and I do..when I go to system restore and try to bring it up..the window that supposed to say welcome to system restore..etc..is BLANK>.the window opens but its blank...like everyother info window on my puter....thats when It DOES open...sometimes it doesnt even do that
Ok! This just can't be good?
How about re-installing Windows over the top of itself, AKA a "repair install"? All you need to do is insert the WinXP CD in the drive and reboot, let Setup run, press Enter at the "R" Recovery Console option and you'll then get an option to repair an existing installation.
It keeps your files and settings but you will need to re-install any Windows Updates / Hotfixes that you've installed.
I did understand from your original post where your problem was happening which is why I included a possible fix that would bypass that (the F8 thing).
Sorry, I should have specifically said that I guess.
You can always try the "If Windows XP does not start" instruction since it will allow a restore before you get to any place you are having problems. May not be an old enough restore point but certainly worth a shot.

I did use F8 to boot for last known good config. , surprising the message received was "when trying to update password this return status indicates that the value provided as current password is incorrect error Isass.exe system error ,I cant do anything it keeps on cycling between rebooting and this eror message Can anybody resolve this also if u boot from F8 LAST GOOD CONFIG.
