Patch problem - mainsp3ff.msp

I'm not sure if this is the proper forum...however here is the issue.
The mainsp3ff.msp file is no longer available to install MS Publisher. The file I believe is in Office SP3 however even after uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office 2003 the update remains. Downloading and installing MS installer did not help. I'm posting in the XP forum because the problem is said to exist after doing a Restore Point-which I did.Any help would be appreciated. thank you!

thank you Arie. have tried the cleanup utility but I'm going to redo the steps you outlined. Will be doing that later today and will get back to you with the outcome. thanks for your post.

 

I tried running the cleanup but was unable to reinstall publisher. Plus I was having problems with outlook so I uninstalled Office & Visio, and then used the cleanup utility. Am loading Publisher (on my husbands pc) as I'm writing this. Thanks for your help!
