Patch problem - mainsp3ff.msp

I'm not sure if this is the proper forum...however here is the issue.
The mainsp3ff.msp file is no longer available to install MS Publisher. The file I believe is in Office SP3 however even after uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office 2003 the update remains. Downloading and installing MS installer did not help. I'm posting in the XP forum because the problem is said to exist after doing a Restore Point-which I did.Any help would be appreciated. thank you!

My System
Hi,

Try this: first run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility

Use it to remove entries from Windows Installer for Office. Then re-install Office from your original CD.

After that, re-install the Office patches.

Here is the info on the missing file after a system restore problem:

PRB: Windows System Restore Does Not Monitor Windows Installer Patch (.msp) Files

Patch problem - mainsp3ff.msp

I tried running the cleanup but was unable to reinstall publisher. Plus I was having problems with outlook so I uninstalled Office & Visio, and then used the cleanup utility. Am loading Publisher (on my husbands pc) as I'm writing this. Thanks for your help!
