Talking Task Manager Replacement

The Windows XP Task Manager is starting to get boring and does not always work as well.

What is a good alternative/replacement to the control alt delete task manager in xp?

A free program

My System

Unhappy

The process explorer tasks keep moving

For example, opera task could at the top and then 1 second later it is at the bottom of the screen, How can I stop these tasks from moving up and down on the list, and how can I disable colors?

Sounds as though you've re-arranged the processes according to CPU usage, which would explain them changing position. Click the header above the process name column to re-sort by name. I don't know if the color can be disabled, but I'll look into it.

Finally fired up Process Explorer (first time in a long time) and did some poking around. If you haven't aleady found it, you can change or disable the color highlighting from Options>Configure Highlighting.

Just curious .... what did you find to be slow in Process Explorer?

Hi,
Not necessarily replacements for TaskManager, but in the same vein
What'sRunning http://www.whatsrunning.net/whatsrunning/main.aspx
and FaberToys http://www.faberbox.com/fabertoys.asp

The last one has helped me several times to find "misplaced" windows.
XP likes to put negative or erroneous values on window placement at times,
making apps and programs invisible.
FaberToys can help to locate them and correct their position.
Apart from that it shows all processes.
