I am having these rectangles constantly popping up on every new window until they fill up the screen with a checkerboard like pattern.
when it first started, it was just one or two every once in a while, but now it's all the time.

If I minimize the window and then bring it back up they are gone, but they quickly come back. (it's very annoying) if I scroll up and down, they start loading up on top of each other and it's hard to see anything.

If no windows are open they fill up the desktop, I can refresh and they go away, but quickly come right back.

I have tried another monitor and tried adjusting the display settings.
I am using pc-cillin 06 internet security anti virus and it's up to date.

I would sure appreciate any help to get rid of these.
Is it some kind of encryption gone haywire?

I think the standard answer for anything like this is to start by checking to see if any drivers/firmware needs updating.

Your video drivers are a prime suspect - uninstall and re-install and update if later available.

If this does not work I would suspect the video card - try in another computer if possible - and try another card in this computer if you can.

Thanks! I updated to the latest video drivers and still no change so I've ordered a new video card, I'll post back after I get it in.
