    Hi Guys

I use a H.P. cpu with no printer. Its been a few days now when I open a video or movie it gives me error 1706 with hp document viewer. I finally removed the viewer because i don't use any hp software anyways (you probably know why) but now when I open a movie or video file photgalley tries to install itself. I then get "The feature you are tying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable ". If I press cancel photgallery will try installing again if I press ok I receive this message: The path "c:\hp\tmp\src\setup\photogallery\photogallery.msi" cannot be found. Eventually
by pressing cancel after a few times the video will start to play. How do I get rid of this photogallery or any program that tries installing itself when I open a video. HELP

This error is usually due to an incomplete install or uninstall of some HP software product. It may have been part of a bundled install and you overlooked it or were unaware of it.

Since you are unaware of how or where this bugger came from, a reinstall and clean uninstall may be difficult. The above ^ HP link has a second solution that may be just what need. Since this is an MSI error (microsoft installer error) Follow hps advice and download the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility.

    ----------------
While you could hunt and peck and do a little manual detective work to track this down and try to clean it up yourself, I strongly suggest you use the ms cleanup Utility. It will help to take some of the pain out of the process.

The below links are from a couple of past posts and I am including them here only for some additional info. and reference.

Additionally... I knew I had seen this recently. The big surprise, for myself, is how short term my memory was:

Your very welcome and thank you for the update. I figured "ms cleanup utility" would make this painless. I always like to see a happy ending. :)
