have a client that this morning when she turned the machine on she is getting "ntldr is compressed press ctrl alt delete to continue ". keeps giving the same message even after rebooting. have read what to do on m.s. site and that is to boot off xp cd and press "r" then finally when the command prompt comes up to do attrib -c ntldr

when she boots off the cd it automatically comes back with the same error message doesnt seem to go to the cd. have done the f12 boot menu so i am sure she is selecting the cd rom drive. any thoughts as to why its not booting from the cd or what else can be done ???

not to worry client fubar. they put the cd in the wrong tray. all is well and the attrib -c ntldr works perfectly. not sure why this happened cuz there werent anything but the normal files at the root level.
