I have 2 files (not folders) listed in C:\Program Files that I do not recognize nor can find information as to what these files are related to. I tried to run them but neither opened up and nothing is in properties showing any reference to any programs. What are these files and do I need to leave them there?

    delete.exe
    setattrib.exe

    TIA

I would be concerned about being infected with a trojan...

I would delete the files or rename them just in case..

Jotti found nothing on either file. I noticed when I uninstalled a program that the delete.exe window popped up for a second then went away.

I just compared my laptop program files folder to my desktop program files folder and both these files appear in each one although the 2 computers do not have the same programs installed with the exception of IE 7 and a customs host file. However, the date modified on my laptop is very old 1/20/2005 wereas, the one on my desktop is fairly new 12/30/2006, after performing a search on both for files modified with these dates the only thing that resulted in common was that Cyberlink Power DVD was installed with these dates on both computers. Not sure that is useful information but was trying to find some relation to the 2 files being on both of the computers.

I searched the registry for these 2 items using RFA and found they are listed as:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32\OpenSaveMRU\* (for both entries) and

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32\OpenSaveMRU\exe (for both entries)

    Any ideas?
