BugCheck 1000007F, {d, 0, 0, 0}

Ok, this is driving me crazy, i get random BSOD's. I can't figure out what to do to fix this, here is all the info I can get:

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000d, EXCEPTION_GP_FAULT
Arg2: 00000000
Arg3: 00000000
Arg4: 00000000

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000d, EXCEPTION_GP_FAULT
Arg2: 00000000
Arg3: 00000000
Arg4: 00000000

Bugcehck 7F with interrupt code D

Hi,

Usually Bugcheck code 7F with interrupt code D is caused by hardware error. I have 21 confirmed cases of this problem. 11 out of 21 is faulty ram. Run memtest to stress test the ram.

2 M/B
3 CPU
11 RAM
5 software

I think i know what it is now

I was playing around in my BIOS, got to the memory SPD part and decided to turn off the Auto, I set my timmings to 2.5-3-3-8 and now my system is stable, funny thing is that the ram should be 3-3-3-8 as thats what it was for over a year and everything worked find until about 3 months ago. This is a very strange fault. I will look at replaceing the ram as soon as i can.

The rams SPD sets the ram to 3-3-3-8, so why should i have to set it to 2.5-3-3-8 just to make the system stable again? Anyone able to answer that one?

Thanks for the help
