As well as my desktop pc I have a laptop with WinXP2 installed on it. For some time now, perhaps a year, when I click on 'Start>All Programs' nothing happens, which means that I can't access my programs unless I go to the folders in 'C:\Programs'. Would anyone know how I can restore functionality to this? Thank you.

Excellent! I used the REG fix half way down this page http://windowsxp.mvps.org/usershellfolders.htm which reset the User Shell Folders values to Windows XP defaults. My 'All Programs' function has been restored fully. Many thanks, Pete :)

Why wait a year to ask? :D - Glad to hear you're fixed up.
