Conexion lost -- Why Mr.Gates ??

I have a P4, with Windows XP Home Edition, and have a serius problems, when i am connected in internet in a few minutes i lost de connection, but the icon in the systray still there, but it's impossible to close, not respond.
And i need to restart the computer to connect again....

I have the same problem with 2 computers more...

What is the modem & model number? Do the two computers more also use WINXP? Could be you need XP drivers. Anyway bienvenidos esta forum Pijus

by the way, make sure your fon line is "clean" & no spice in wire.

 

yes my firend, my tree modems have XP drivers 2 intel ham and another Agere Systems......

I format my PC and do a clean installation but nothing.......

Formated & still connection probs? Bummer amigo! Can you look in "devicemanager" under modem, for conflicts? This problem is with all tres modems of different brands running winxp, si?
How good is the fon line coming into su casa?

Does the other three computers have any other probs?
