Smile pc is so slow

hi this is my first post so hope i'm doing it right!! and in the right place..
i have asked this question in another forum and been told to come here to try and get help, so hopefully some one can help me.

since using ebay my pc is just so slow, do you think it might be the pics i now have on here? or could it be some ebooks that thave taken up so much room, i have defraged and cleaned all cookies ect ect ect, but nothing works, its only 6 mths old this pc and its doing my head in lol. any ideas guys would be great please.. the answer i got to this was; think it may be a memory problem.
so i looked on setup and noticed i had 37 programs running on set up.

now as i'm not very good with computers i thought i would google the names of the programs in setup, i deleted { well unticked} the ones i didnt think i needed and then rebooted, oh no i couldnt connect to the net, ticked all the boxes again and rebooted again, thank goodness i could connect again, i'm now to scared to do it with out proper help in case i mess the pc up big time...

would it help if i posted a list of my set up programs?

many thanks in advance

Hi, Angie. Welcome to Windows BBS!

I guess the first thing I would suggest is to rule out the possibility that malware has been somehow installed on your computer.

Please carefully follow the instructions in this link and post your results (including your HijackThis log) here in this thread.
