Rundll error system restore

I get this error whenever I try to open System Restore:

Rundll error

An exception occurred while trying to run:
“C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL “C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysdm.cpl”,System”

Any ideas how to repair?

Thanks

You need to do a repair of System Restore. MS-MVP Bert Kinney notes:
Quote:
Error: I receive a RUNDLL error after clicking on the System Restore Tab. When I click the "System Restore" tab of the System Dialog, I get the following Error:

RUNDLL
An exception occured while trying to run "shell32dll, Control_RunDLL
"C:\Windows\System32\sysdm.cpl", system"
Reinstalling System Restore will resolve this issue. Click here for instructions: http://bertk.mvps.org/html/body_tips.html#ReinstallSR
