PC Intel P4 dual cpu 3.0Ghz Mboard PS83BL chipset Intel865 PE.
    RAM DDR400 2GB graphics card FX5700LE 400W PSU.

Previous 400W PSU replaced with new 600W PSU and graphics card replaced with a new XFX GEForce 6800XT 512MB DDR3 dual DVI.

Despite this still get the same errors bad_pool_caller 0x0c2 or 0x050 or 0x019.

Convinced the problem is with XP itself?

Automatic updates were on and these crashes started about 2 weeks ago even though no changes to software/hardware had been made.

Any ideas? Could Direct X cause this?

    Stops BSOD

    Thanks Bill.
Checked for the Spyware but can't find any. Have Nortons, up to date, Adware SE (Lava Soft)and ZoneLabs.
In eventvwr.msc there is report with each dump "universal plug & play depends on SSDP failed to start ".

I write softare for a living, "robotic systems auto industry" but have turned all these services off.

This problem only happens with FS2004.

    Stops BSOD

    Bill & Pete thanks.
FSB is supposed to be 800Mhz and will check RAM.

    Last 3 BSOD.
Using debugwiz.exe and windbg.exe from Microsoft.

Keeps telling me "Symbols" are wrong?

    Symbol search path is: SRV*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
    Executable search path is: C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
*** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols for ntkrnlmp.exe -

*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for cmuda.sys
    Probably caused by : portcls.sys ( portcls!DispatchDeviceIoControl+3e )

    1st BSOD
    BAD_POOL_CALLER (c2)
The current thread is making a bad pool request. Typically this is at a bad IRQL level or double freeing the same allocation, etc.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 00000040, Attempt to free usermode address to kernel pool
    Arg2: 00000000, Starting address
Arg3: 80000000, Start of system address space
    Arg4: 00000000, 0

    2nd BSOD
    BugCheck 10000050, {f1a3f0fc, 0, b9a4c69a, 2}
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
    is pointing at freed memory.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: f1a3f0fc, memory referenced.
    Arg2: 00000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: b9a4c69a, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
    address.
    Arg4: 00000002, (reserved)

    Debugging Details:
    ------------------

***** Kernel symbols are WRONG. Please fix symbols to do analysis.

    3rd BSOD
    BAD_POOL_HEADER (19)
The pool is already corrupt at the time of the current request.
This may or may not be due to the caller.
The internal pool links must be walked to figure out a possible cause of
the problem, and then special pool applied to the suspect tags or the driver
    verifier to a suspect driver.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 00000020, a pool block header size is corrupt.
Arg2: 89f62650, The pool entry we were looking for within the page.
Arg3: 89f62788, The next pool entry.
    Arg4: 0a270001, (reserved)

    Debugging Details:
    ------------------

***** Kernel symbols are WRONG. Please fix symbols to do analysis.

    MODULE_NAME: cmuda

    FAULTING_MODULE: 804d7000 nt

    DEBUG_FLR_IMAGE_TIMESTAMP: 43a105d7

    BUGCHECK_STR: 0x19_20

    POOL_ADDRESS: unable to get nt!MmSpecialPoolStart
    unable to get nt!MmSpecialPoolEnd
    unable to get nt!MmPoolCodeStart
    unable to get nt!MmPoolCodeEnd
    89f62650

If I understand correctly there is a source of correct symbols but it means downloading some 150mb?

    thanks

    Stops BSOD

    Thanks Bill
New one, normally only Car makers get mad at me.

I checked the RAM using Mtinst in extended mode as well, no errors found.

If I understand correctly the 1st Parameter = Type of error, 2nd Parameter = address and 3rd Parameter = Header?

How do I identify which driver is faulty?

System worked well for at least one year and I could run FS2002 and FS2004 no problem.
Bought PMDG B737/700 NG and still no problem.
Bought "Switzerland" scenery (very detailed)and still no problems.
Then PMDG B747 and I had a problem, taking off was jerky, similar to slow frame rate.
Traced this to a problematic DVD player which had the FS verification CD (disc 4).
Installed new DVD/writer problem went away.

I tried the TW website you posted but very slow at moment will try again tonite.

    thanks
