    Hi-

My pc is running unstable and it now is making a constant beeping noise and freezing up as if it were overheating. Everytime I restart my computer is runs this 3 step disk check on one of my hard drives. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download and run the disk diagnostic software from the drive manufacturer's web site.

The drive may be failing so make sure that any data on it is backed up.

If you disconnect the drive - assuming it is not the boot drive, do the noises and disk check stop?

I haven't ran the diagnostic software yet. I opened up my pc and cleaned all the dust from all of the fans, which was alot more then I expected. I also tuned down my CPU overclock by 5%. It seems to be running stable now and no beeping noise, but it still performs a disk check at boot up. And no it is not the boot drive.
    -Thank you

Looks like you had a temperature problem through lack of cooling which was not helped by overclocking :)

Time to work on the hard drive now.

I did 3 of the diagnostic programs on the Seagate website to check for errors on my hard drive and it found no errors, but still at boot up is performs a disk check.
