Unable to Acess Windows Update Site

When trying to access the Windows Update Site I received an error number 0x80248013. I exited out of WU Site and then reentered then received and error number of 0x80244022. Both times I got a message there was a problem accessing the page you requested at this time. I accessed the site yesterday without any problem. I'm saving System Restore as a last resort. Any other way to fix this problem before using System Restore. Thanks in advance for any assistance with this problem.

Today is the second Tuesday of the month and several Critical Security Updates are expected from Windows/Microsoft Updates.
Perhaps they took the site down to get everything ready.

No, they do not "take the site down"...

It is that it is too busy, just try later.

0x80244022 = SUS_E_PT_HTTP_STATUS_SERVICE_UNAVAIL
Http status 503 - temporarily overloaded

Arie; Are you sure they are just busy?

This came up on a search of that error code?

0x80248013 = the server has passed the same update to the client with two different revision ids

possibly 2 updates approved where 1 supersedes the other?

Well that seems to be the answer for error code 0x80248013? that's the code I am getting?

I also found this? Should I try it?

Are you using IE when trying to access Winows Update? It does not really work well with any other browser.

ackerburg:

I am not sure who the "YOU" is that you are referring? If it is meant to be me "loonychoons" then the answer is of course ! {Sorry I meant ackerberg not ackerburg} It looks like I am unable to edit the title line?

Actually I was not referring to you, but I see that you are rather sensitive to suggestions that may be obvious but are sometimes overlooked because we are so used to doing things on automatic pilot.

Friend ackerberg:

I find that one thing that is lacking in communication like this the lack of emotional feelings and on the spot feedback. Either from body language"which is seen " or voice inflection such as tone "which is heard".

Here I was so worried about misspelling your name , and how you would react! That I overlooked the fact that my "of course" may have struck a nerve .{and rightly so, when I see it from your side}

I apologize for my lack of tact, but you are right "I am sensitive" and know how you must have felt with me being so abrupt.

So, Friends in technology, I hope?

Hi Jim.

I guess that I jumped the gun? Apparently #7 in the list of Microsoft Updates failed to install after downloading? What's you memory like? That Update is a security fix for a program that I might not have Anymore. Do you remember all that trouble that I had with NET. Framework 1.1 & 2.0." a few Months ago when I could not get them to Install after downloading" and I decided to go along without it? Well #7 is an update for the same!!

Well it has come back and bit me on the butt " at least I think it has" ,therefore my thinking is this, If I don't have the original program!!! I certainly can not update it????

Your Friend Lenny P.S. I have asked Microsoft for some help, I may have to go back and download and Install NET Framework
