    I have sub folders with 100 photo's in each
    I am tired of typing each name onto an HTML directory (so they can click
    on the listing link and see the photo.)
    Then I can just cut and paste onto the cover of the cd when I burn them for my water garden customers.

    example:
    windows directory . . . .. . .. . .. . .. .Html (index.htm)
    C:\waterlilies\
    photo2.jpg . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . .. . . . . . .Photo2.jpg
    photo3.jpg . . . . . .. ->> copy to ->> . . . Photo3.jpg
    photo55.jpg . . . .. ... ... . . . .. . . .... . . ..photo55.jpg
    photo 119.jp . . .... .. .. . .. . . . . .... .. . . photo119.jpg

    is there a way to get windows xp to give up the just the directory text it displays?

    Karens directory gets me one step closer but..
    It does not save in a text file of directores or files but

    code to send the info to the printer
    ======================================================
    \Program Files\DirPrn\ ------- 0 5 1,714,649 1,714,649
    ---A---X DirPrn.exe DirPrn.exe C:\Program Files\DirPrn\DirPrn.exe C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ exe
    ---A---X DirPrn.hlp DirPrn.hlp C:\Program Files\DirPrn\DirPrn.hlp C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ hlp
    ---A---- FileFilters.txt FILEFI~1.TXT C:\Program Files\DirPrn\FileFilters.txt C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ txt
    ---A---- PTDirPrn.txt PTDirPrn.txt C:\Program Files\DirPrn\PTDirPrn.txt C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ txt
    ---A---- ST6UNST.LOG ST6UNST.LOG C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ST6UNST.LOG C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ LOG
    C:\Program Files\DirPrn\ ------- 0 5 1,714,649 1,714,649
    =========================================================

    once the info is printed I can then scan it back into the pc through a OCR and get the text that way.. that can then be put into an HTML making the links clickable.... YES this is better then typing all the files.. but still there should be an easier way.
    :confused:

    What would we do without google.. if you know how to phrase it..

    Here is the GEM.. and I do mean GEM

    The JR Directory Printer Utility -Freeware-
    allows you to print a listing of every file contained within a directory and/or subdirectory(ies).

    Download (size: 173 KB)

    Thank YOU!

    frazzle99--You seem satisfied with printing out the names of files in a directory, but according to your initial post
    I am not sure how important the issue of clicking on the listing link is but, if you put the sub-folders (which I assume have URL's or each of the images) into your Favorites Folder, you can now click IE File|Import and Export|Next|Export Favorites|choose what part of Favorites you want to export|Next. You will have created a file called Bookmarks.html where you have chosen. It will be a file of clickable links that will connect to URL's.
