I just got all the spyware and other garbage cleaned out of my system but when I click on windows firewall it says " due to an unidentified problem, windows cannot display windows firewall settings ".I have defender pro installed as my firewall now. What could I do to fix it or should I not bother? OS is XP SP2

    cannot import

When I try to merge the registry it says cannot import, there may be a disk or file system error. I like Defender Pro (which is what I'm going to use)but I just want to fix windows firewall.

    Two thoughts ....

Your download may be corrupted and/or you may need to turn off Defender Pro before trying to merge.

fireaxe--Until you told us about the .reg Merge problem I would have said the following
ZoneAlarm's firewall does the same thing. Maybe Defender Pro does, too. So there may not be anything to fix if you keep using Defender Pro.

    fire BAD!

I know you should have only one firewall ,so I'll keep DEFENDER PRO, really had no problems with it so far.Never hurts to ask. Thank You.
