shut down

I have Windows XP on my computer. How can I put the "Turn Off Computer" icon on my desktop so that I can turn off the computer with just one click. I used to do that when I had Windows 98 on my computer. Thank you very much.

There is an option that I use that is even quicker.
When I press the power button on my computer it does an automatic shutdown.

Take a look in
Control Panel
Performance and Maintenance
Power Options
Advanced
Powerbuttons
When I perss the power button on my computer > dropdown list

and see if it may be what you need.
