I have this customers pc. I have pulled a ton of viruses, trojans, spyware off of. When I go to the web and click on a video , say on MSN , the sound is ok
the picture goes black for a few seconds, then comes back. Occasionally the picture is there for 3 - 4 sconds. The picture is a still , no movement.

Hi, viking. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

Since you had a bout with malware, perhaps Windows Media Player got corrupted before/during the cleanup.

Have you tried reinstalling Windows Media Player 10?

Also, are you certain you have removed all traces of known malware from the system? Often such removal requires specific procedures, done in a specific order, which only a few experts know. (Look at some of the more active threads in the "Removing Spyware & Viruses" forum here to get an idea of what I mean.)

If you want to take steps to be certain you have removed all malware from the system, I suggest starting with the information in this link.

    Yes

no , i haverun 2 local anti virus, one on line anti virus. one online spyware removal , 2 local spyware removers, 2 local trojan removers.. The trojan remover removed 459 trojans
one of the trojans had actually installed itself as a program in the program folder. I have never seen that B4.

Thanks for the links... i think Panda is no longer a "free" remover, just a scanner. The free spyware programs go only so far, i used spyware doctor, xoftspy. Spywareguide.com has a good spyware remover if it was not listed

i have also tried new codecs, activex...etc
