Hi to all; I have Windows XP running in my computer and I download the Windows XP Repair Program from the Windows download site and when trying to install it I receive the message "This type of drive does not support Auto Play settings ". Can anybody tell me what this means and what to do  please?

Hi Oldman - Welcome to the Board :)

The Autoplay Repair Wizard does not install - it runs on demand from the .exe file. You should save it to your hard drive and run it from there. This may be what you did.

Autoplay is only available for devices with removable media such as CD/DVD drives and some external drives.

When you reach the screen shown below you must highlight the drive you want to check/repair before proceeding. Did you do that?

For what sort of drive are you trying to repair the Autoplay function?
