Does anyone know how to use two sets of keyboard/mouse/monitor to share one computer and can work simultaneously?

    Thanks.

    Hi Jason,
How do you plan to use them? I would be pretty certain that the keyboards would need to be on a switch system (one or other).

I do have two mice attached to this PC and they work fine. One is a PS2 the other is USB.

But I am not real sure that two keyboards would not work unless they were on a switch as mattman suggested.

I have two mice (well a track ball and a mouse) and two monitors on my main machine - and I just plugged in a USB second keyboard to check and it works just fine. However I don’t think they work in the manner you are asking. I read it that you want two people to be able to do separate task with the mouse and keyboard. If so then I have never seen that option. Both mice operate the same pointer, just as both keyboards only work on the same active window. While it is possible to have different windows open on each monitor, it is just the one desktop and you can only have one active window.

That they indeed do. I just have the 2 because it makes things a lot easier when my wife and I play games on here or when we play Golf with a Friend in Canada by not having to keep shoving the mouse back and forth.

Thanks to you guys and sorry I come back later.

I did find a solution on the Internet and forgot the name of website. When I find it, I will post it here.

I persuaded my customer not to use that and fortunately he agreed. He has bought another new computer and I helped him added it to the current network.

Interesting……. learn something new every day eh. I can't find a price and that usually means it’s expensive - probably as much as buying a second computer. I can see the point it certain business situations.
