Click Here to open a Kelly's Korner page.

Scroll down to line 286 and in the right-hand column click on "Restore All Display Tabs" (may need to right click it, left click "Save Target as ") to download a small reg file.

Once saved to your harddrive, run it according to the directions at the top of the Kelly's Korner page.

    That should fix things.

no its the same thing... if i change the theme they show up but if i close it and reopen it it does the same...

i tryed doing the removing tabs and then readding them but it just shows up as the same...

could it be a dll error? i did hae many scanners... and i mean many fixing this computer removing popups and such.

Looking at your pic I see your window skins are different than normal. Or is it just the colors of the pic? Are you using a program like Style XP or something similar? If so, I'd try turning that off and see if things return to normal.

no its no external program. Even on WindowsXP Blue Luna skin or Windows Classic its the same.

This is just a BlueEnergy skin from the Tablet Edition.

If you have any restore points that were made after you removed viruses, etc. and before this problem occurred, maybe give system restore a try?

You could try a WinXP 'repair' install... see HERE for a step by step guide. HTH

I agree, a Repair install seems the only thing left.

Personally I would back up any user data, format & reinstall.

Thanks for you help but i found the problem last night after doing a very long google serach.

The file in C:\WINDOWS\ named "WindowsShell.Mainfest" was not present causing the tabs not to show up.

I simply took the file off my installion and tranfered it via USB Drive and now it works again. :)

Good find. A repair install would most likely have cured this too (don't have the time to check, but seems likely).
