My System
Question

No right click menu in All Programs list

1. When I click on All Programs, I used to be able to right click and select sort to re-arrange the programs. Now I don't even get the right click menu. I get a right click menu everywhere else except in All Programs! How do I fix this anouance?

2. My Control Panel got switched to Clasic mode. Can I switch it back to XP?

For the right click problem, right click on the taskbar and choose properties. Click the start menu tab, then on the customize button and then on the advanced tab. In the box where it says start menu items, put a check mark in the box next to the line that says enable dragging and dropping. Click ok>apply and then ok again.

For your control panel problem, do you have the bar on the left side of the window? If so, click on switch to category view.

Thanks Zander. You cured the right click menu problem--these solutions are so simple when you know where to go!

I do not have a left panel on the control panel display. The control Panel looks like a normal folder display. That's why I'd like to switch it back to XP.

Ok, try this. Open the control panel or any folder and click tools>folder options and on the general tab make sure the line that says show common tasks in folders is selected. If not, select it and then, in the control panel, click the line in the left pane that says switch to category view.
