Does anyone know how to change the default selection of which program opens picture (JPG) files? I have a program I prefer to view pictures in, yet they always open using another program.

    Hello Brooks,

I think you're assuming that its the operating system that makes that decision, its not.

Open the program that you want to be your default and look for the option(s) to make it the defualt picture viewer. It would help for you to post what program that is and also post what program is now the defualt.

    Regards - Charles

You can use Windows to change it though...

In Windows Explorer, right-click your JPG picture, and from the context menu choose Open With. Next, select Choose Program. Select your program from the list, or if not listed click the Browse button to find it.

Select your program, then tick the box for Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
