What's the history behind the file?
Where did it come from?
How long has it been there?
How did you find it?

.vbs->Visual Basic Script file (Visual Basic)

These can be nice and or very harmful files.

HotTuna--I suspect spyware.

You may want to follow the procedure here

P.S. I am no expert on HiJackThis logs but I think all those R0 and R1 red.clientapp URL's are usually things to be deleted.
Just deleting glf5.vbs will probably not clean your PC of the underlying spyware.

It first showed up 4 days ago. I was alerted to the script by McAfee Firewall.

I can't find it on my computer and the warning hasn't been given since this post. I'm not sure what I was doing at the time, I think trying to remove files through XP Control Panel. I was also having problems doing that, something about a missing log file. If it happens again I'll get more details. In the mean time I'll run Ad-Aware.

Thanks

Hi HotTuna,

The file was most likely in a temp folder - IE's cache or some other temp folder as part of an install or something that was attempting to run.

Regards - Charles
