Can an XP Pro o/s be changed into a Media Center o/s? I am simply interested in getting Internet radio stations piped into my home entertainment center. In my research so far, it seems that you cannot simply buy some networking hardware to do this. Instead, you need a Media Center PC and some hardware changes. Thanks.

No, you can't go from Pro to Media Center. Not without formatting anyway. However, you should be able to use XP Pro for this. I would think that almost any program that receives internet radio would work. Winamp is one that comes to mind. To connect it to your stereo, I would think you could just connect the line out on your sound card to a line in or aux jack on the amp. Maybe I'm wrong about how to connect it but that's the way I'd tackle it to begin with. However it's done, I sure it can be done with XP Pro as well as it can with Media Center.

Hang tight. Maybe somebody else who's done this will see this and add to this.
