I have a windows xp pro Pc that when it powers up it comes to a welcome type screen that has pictures next to the users names.
The screen says "to begin click your name" then you get into your profile.

On the bottom of the screen is where the problem is. It says "turn off ...." where the ... is a users name that is not on the system anymore.

HOW can I delete or change that name on the bottom of the screen.
    Thanks.
    Bill

Go to Control Panel, then select User Accounts. You need to log in as an administrator to delete accounts; if it is an admin account you want to delete, IIRC you will need to create another admin account (if there isn't another one already). I log in with teh old 2000-style login, but this should take you to where you want to go.
