Can I disable tooltips?

    Especially in Explorer...I don't need tooltips to tell me the name of the folder, etc.

    Sorry. I may have misunderstood you. I thought by tool tip you were talking about Enable Mouse Hot Tracking Effects in the General category. If that's not it, then try Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Show pop up description for folder and Desktop Items
