I have used the intsructions at this website:http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/tune-22.html
It works great except when i select some word docs and excel sheets to print. I.E. I left click + ctrl the files i want to print, then right click and hit print. It asks me to move the file, i hit cancel, then it asks me to copy the file. I hit cancel and it goes away and i can print. I have it on an XP SP1 PRo machine.
Any way around this issue while keeping the move to and copy to field in the right click menu?

Not sure what moving files has to do with printing.

Which of the two different things are you trying to do?

The link you posted is about moving files....

What did you do to get a Print option on your context menu? Are you suppost to be able to print unopened docs?

Yes, when you hit print it opens the doc, prints it, then auto closes it.

FWIW, I have a print option in my right click context menu for various types of files also. I've just always assumed it was just a part of XP. I've never done anything myself to put it there. If you don't have it, and it's not an XP thing, possibly it's put there by the installation of the printer's drivers?

kill the move/copy reg keys. does it work proper now? note - explorer has the move/copy buttons u can add to the toolbar quite easily so i'd prolly opt that method as opposed to reg hacking if it causes a problem ;)

windows always had the rclik/print option to my knowledge. i've never had purpose to use it much and, if it causes probs, i'd simple stop using it more or less.

could also maybe try drag & drop on printer to see if any issue arises that way.

another thought = create a sendto shortcut for the printer(s) and multi select files, rclik and sendto --> prn of choice. see if that works?
