Language bar won't display on taskbar

I recently did a repair install, and everything seems to be working fine except this little thing. I can't seem to force the language bar onto the taskbar. It'll show on the desktop, and when I right click on the taskbar > toolbars and choose language bar, it won't become checked. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

My System
Try this:
1. Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Languages tab
2. Under Text services and input languages, click Details.
3. Under Preferences, click the Language Bar button.
4. Select the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box.

Click OK as many times as it takes and see if the Language bar either reappears or allows you to re-enable it.

Well, I can get the language bar to display on the desktop. However, I cannot force it to display on the taskbar. When I try to drag it from the desktop onto the taskbar it just disappears.

Try downloading and running the .reg file from Kelly's Korner, line 194, right hand column, (click on the word "Restore" to download). Run the file according to the directions at the top of the Kelly's Korner page.

Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue either.

This may be an issue with the task bar as opposed to the language bar itself. I'm not sure. I think dragging the language bar to the taskbar should dock it to it, but like I said, it just disappears and loses all functionality (for instance, I can't change languages by ALT-SHIFT'ing).

I just tried a bunch of registry fixes, and something fixed it. I think it was the Address, Language, Media Player, Links: Restore link. Thanks for the help.
