    Your signature indicates XP Home which is 32-bit. You need a CPU such as the Athlon64 to run XP Pro 64, and it should have the 64 in its title screen.

    Thanks, Skeet -
    It shows:
    System: Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2;
    Computer: Intel(R), Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz,2.79GHz, 1.00GB of RAM, Physical Address Extension.

    I'd been looking for something that actually stated "32-bit" or "64-bit ", and couldn't find that. I knew I had XP Home Edition , but I didn't know that that automatically meant it's 32-bit - now I know! :rolleyes:
