I'm really embarrased to ask such a question but I was once told "No question is to simple" so here goes,,In past couple of days my Taskbar, the bar with Quick Launch, Sys tray/clock has become about 1 1/2 inches wide. It was always about 1/2" wide. I have looked in properties for "Display Propertys" but just can't get it back to thinner. In Win98 I use to take cursor and bring the size back to normal. Now all it will do is show the arrow but just makes taskbar disapear from bottom of screen. Sorry about length of this post,,
    Thank you,,Paul

I take it you mean it is taking up more of the bottom of the screen. Have you got "Lock Taskbar" selected when you right click on the taskbar? If you do, untick it and you should be able to move it back. Also my friend had this problem and he said he managed to "just fix it" and doesnt know how lol.

:) I wish I had a $ for everytime I fixed something but had no idea how LOL Thanks for getting back to me cbudden. Okay, Lock Taskbar is not checked  but I was messing around and I think I did it. I right clickd the Taskbar, then I unchecked "Quick Launch" I moved the taskbar to correct size then right clicked the bar again and checked off "Quick Launch" that did it. I'm good to go :D
    Thanks cbudden,,

if you put a check in lock taskbar you wont have this trouble again, but if you want to change it you must uncheck (lock taskbar ) to make changes to your taskbar
