I recently built a sytem from scratch for the first time, and I have discovered yet another level of my ignorance. In device Manager- Other devices- raid controller, General tab- device status I read: The drivers for this device are not installed (code 28). Location is listed as: PCI bus 0 device 15 function 0.
I have an ABIT VA-20 mobo, and my PCI cards are an NVIDIA GE Force video, and a supraMAX 56I modem. I updated the driver for both the modem and the video card when I installed them.
I'm running XP with sp2. What am I missing here?

If you're not using the Raid Controller it doesn't really matter.

The cd that came with the mobo "should" have the drivers.

Pop into the BIOS - there should be an entry there to disable the Raid controller if you don't intend to use it. If not there may be a jumper on the mobo - check out the manual - I have come across both methods on Ausus boards.
