error copying files

I have a user that is having an interesting problem. She is win XP SP2 and O2k3. When she tries to drag an email from her inbox to a folder on her desktop that is open ( a network folder), she gets the error.

“Error Copying File or Folder”

“Not enough storage is available to process this command”

Her machine has 1 GB of ram, and the resources are normal, nothing taking too much of her processor or memory. I researched and saw something about setting PagedPoolSize to 0, it was like that, and also I found the IRPStackSize reg setting, and added it with 15 as the value but that did not work either. Any ideas?

"Not enough storage is available to process this command"

That particular error usually happens with a problem that has absolutely nothing to do with local storage or memory. Not the best written error message that M$ has.

Is the user on exchange server or running the email locally and if locally, POP server or what?

If you can, it would also help to see a copy of the exact and entire event log entry that is generated by the error.

The user is using outlook connected to an exchange server. I dont remember if there were any errors in the event logs, I will check and post them back later or tomorrow.

The only thing that I have seen in the event logs is the same thing that is in almost every machine that we have migrated from our old NT4 domain to the newer faster AD domain, error 6004. It doesnt seem to cause any issues, and this seems to be only affecting one group of people.

I think Microsoft has fixed that particular bug.

Make sure the PC has Office 2003 SP1

the Post-SP1 Hotfix Rollup (I think that bug fix is in this one)

and the applicable Post-SP1-rollup updates and see if that clears things up.
