Unhappy Printer Installation Error with Win Xp

I have an hp 990cse printer.. and Win xp...

I downloaded the drivers for xp from hp.com

So i installed the drivers and then pluged in the printer.. the the windows installer automatically detects the printer and it tries to install it.. but for some reason there is an error with its installation.. I dont konw why. because after I click cancel and exit the stupid installer everything works fine. the printer prints and everthing is perfect..

But every time i restart my computer.. that **** installer pops up recognizing the printer again.. and it has to try and install it then it errors out.. and i have to keep canceling it .. and clicking exit...

HOW DO I DISABLE THIS OR FIX THIS...????

I have tried uninstalling it and restarting the pc and then trying again.. with no results....

HELP!!!

Probably this is because hardware identifying inbuilt tool of xp has not been configured , suggest to delete all drivers and exit , then boot up again ,decide whether U want USB/LPT port then connect printer ON go to setting /C.P/add hardware wizard on --prompt browse driver from location and intall, check driver details from device manager /printer /select port whether USB or LPT ---remember can work on assigning any one port and relevant driver ===right click device in your case HP printer and check driver details also try upgrade driver etc. then restart again.

best luck
