I have installed a dual boot on my system. Both partitions have Windows XP and one is up and running fine.

However, I wanted to run the other one as a safety back up version with no internet connection to totally eradicate the risk of virus infections such.

But if I don't "activate" the Windows platform within 30 days, I can't use it at all. Is there any way of activating it from the other partition? Or do I have no choice - I MUST make an internet connection?

MattB - Welcome to the Board :)

Run through the Activation process and sooner or later you will get to a page which gives you a phone no for telephone Activation. Call that and punch in the numbers that you are asked for on the phone.
