Question multi-display / display cloning

Dose anyone know how to get 2 excatly same displays with one main computer? I have searched through but cant find answers...

I have seen lecturers do it on their laptops with extra Projector display.

I want to clone my computer display on to my TV using S-Video

how do I do that? My Video card is: ATI 9600 256mb, the manual says it can clone but I just cant get it (ie the manual is useless).

I can get the display split into 2 parts (1 on LCD 1 on TV ) nothing else...I wonder why

someone please help me
cheers

if you install the ATI drivers from the website instead of using the default windows display drivers, there are advanced options to do this:

Quote:
For ATI’s dual-controller graphics accelerators that support multiple display devices, or for ATI video adapters that have dual display functionality, the ATI graphics driver makes it easy to configure your desktop for multiple displays. Using controls on the ATI Displays tab, you simply select (at least) one display as Primary, with the remaining display(s) operating in either Clone mode or as part of an Extended Desktop. In Extended Desktop mode, you can easily toggle the primary display with the display that shows the extended portion of the desktop, to match the physical arrangement of your display devices.
