    Hi
I'm running windows xp and outlook express, for the last few days things have been a bit crazy. I'm not sure if it's my mouse or a problem with outlook express. When I'm going through my messages, if I click the delete button it will delete two messages, or if I click on one of my in boxes sometimes the whole area will close where I have the inbox, sent box, deleted items etc. I haven't downloaded anything recently to my computer that I recall that could cause this problem. I don't know what is going on. If there is something wrong with outlook express is there a repair for it? The only thing I recall recently was a window update of some sort a few days ago but I don't know if that had anything to do with outlook express. Any help sure would be appreciated.

Reads very similiar to problems I had. But DUMMY me I put the solution where others can't get to read it.

Hang on a bit as I am trying to get that fixed.

But the basic problem was a worn out Mouse AND corrupted drivers.

tipzigfuzz--Just a long shot. Your deleted files (.dbx) file may be too full (even though it does not look too full).
Try OE File|Folder|Compact. It cannot hurt.
Presume you have gone to Windows Update to get recent Critical Updates. One was a Cumulative Update for OE.

    thanks for info

    Hi
I've since installed a new mouse and so far things seem to be working. I'm keeping fingers crossed. The only question I have is when you install a new mouse which I seem to do quite often is it important to install the software. I usually just plug in the new one and it seems to work fine. Maybe that's my problem I'm not using the software that comes with the mouse  I can't even remember how many mice or is it mouses that I've gone through. :D Thanks for the info about my problem and any suggestions about installing the software that comes with the mouse.
    Thanks

tipzigfuzz--You sound tough on mice. :)
Thanks for telling us what worked.
As long as you delete the old mouse drivers and install the new, you should not have problems. However, USB devices usually require that you install the drivers before you install the device. Look at the instructions.
