unsupported format for pictures

My daughter was off the internet for awhile and has just gotten hooked up again. She had to do a system restore because somehow she ended up with all porno site shortcuts all over and couldn't get rid of them. The problem is whenever she right clicks on a picture on the web to save then tries to view it it comes up as an unsupported file. When I right click the pic it saves it as a jpeg when she does it it comes up .art and she cannot view it. she has XP but I have no clue what to tell her to do.

Get the freeware Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) and set it to be the default view for graphics. This thing will open and view anything...well, almost.

...else just go to windows update and get the .ART update; .art is an AOL proprietary image format and with this update you can view the images in the browser.

Still, I recommend Irfanview. It's one of the programs I think everyone should have in their computer. It's a really great graphics manager.
