I am running XP Home with SP2. I want to upgrade to XP Pro. Will I have to reinstall SP2 and will my software accept this upgrade without any troubles? I use Pro at work and don't see major differences between Pro or Home. Just some security and other minor differences. If this is going to be more trouble than it's worth I want to know.
Thanks: Dennis

I have the XP Pro boxed version cd (original). I also have the SP2 FULL version cd but don't know how to slipstream it. Is it difficult? How do I do it? I tried to run the XP Pro cd but it says the version I have is newer than the cd and it won't install. What do I do?

I finally got the ugrade finished. I used a program called "AutoStreamer". Great little tool for slipstreaming. The slipstream and the upgrade went flawlessly. No trouble at all.
Zander,
thanks, i went to the autopathcher site and the reason the link didn't work was because it was for the older version...then i went to the forums page and found a working link for the current ver.

version is 1.0.33. I got it off a link from Neowin. Do a google search for "slipstreamxpsp" and you will find all sorts of links there. This is a nifty utility.
