Hello everyone! This is a rather odd appearance, as I've never seen it before, but here goes:

I run Windows XP Home (Now somewhat improved, and more annoying with SP2). I decided that it had been long enough, so I decided to reformat my HD and start with a clean slate; it's a good idea to do anyway, once in a while.

Anyhow - I connect to the internet via RoadRunner (Through ethernet connection, NOT USB to the cable modem) -- Under my network places, I have 2 network connections.. One (Local area Connection through my Ethernet card) is obviously the one I'm used to.. But here's the odd one, and what it says: "Local Area Connection 2 / Connected / Microsoft TV/Video Connection "

Under the properties tabs, I noticed that it uses the same protocols as my internet connection (Tcp/Ip - File/printer sharing, etc. etc.) -- But under the "Connection Status" it was assigned the strangest IP: 0.1.0.4 is that connections' IP.. Odd huh?

Now - I've never seen this connection before -- does anyone know what it's about?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

The Microsoft TV connection may be there as a result of a webcam, Netmeeting uses the TV connection to transmit the webcam. You can disable the Local Area Connection 2.
