    Can someone tell me what the ~ is on the desktop is for ?
    When I try to open it is says windows can not open this file :rolleyes:

    countrygal--The latest Cumulative Update for IE and OE should have finally fixed that. Go to Windows Update and get the Critical Updates.
    The ~ issue is not serious, but recent Updates cover a lot of other stuff that is.
