Mission Statement

Something happened with my Windows XP - its break 4 applications(non Microsoft): Acrobat Reader, Groove, VoIP program, Blue Tooth utility not work more.
Symptoms:
- I can no upload Acrobat Reader and read pdf files- i can do it only
once after reboot, then if i try upload Acrobat repeteadly, it just
show clock/loading. Reinstalling Acrobat not help.
- 3 other mentioned programs not work any more.
- The Windows behaviour looks strange recently, particularly, it suspends at shuth down.
Suppositions:
Some of this programs use common files and it can affect at system? Some carelessly written application can affect on system and cause problems? For example, Groove is extensive program, use vaste files, include common. But these programs worked earlier.
I have no any idea how to correct Windows. What is algorithm, have someone any ideas?

Start button, run line, eventvwr.exe and OK to open your event viewer. Look in all three logs for errors or warnings that might be related. If you see any that you aren't sure of, open the error, click on the icon below the up/down arrows (copies it to clipboard) and post the event here.
With these symptoms, I'd also suggest a virus scan using an on-line scanner like RAV (link in my signature). Spyware scans couldn't hurt either.
Problems have appeared last 10-12 days; concerning the BlueTooth - its tried to put some unknown "Service Pack 2". Now at has removed BlueTooth apps.
I suspect the Groove program( http://groove.net), it uses huge quantity of files, registry settings etc. It looks, that when Groove uploaded(though it now work more) its affect on Acrobar Reader and prevents it to work.
I use Kaspersky antivirus, its updated regular, i a dont think it a virus cause.

The server {F3A614DC-ABE0-11D2-A441-00C04F795683} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.
Unless you are one of the rare few folks actually using the volumn shadow copy feature, go to services and set startup on Volume Shadow Copy Service and MS Software Shadow Copy Provider
to disabled. Probably on manual now.
In Device Manager, check for any devices showing a yellow ! symbol to indicate they aren't working right. If you find any, remove them and lets see if XP will reload them properly at boot time.
Clear the contents of all of your event logs. Easier to see what is still giving problems that way.
Reboot to safe mode and click on start then run and enter sfc /scannow and OK. Note the space after sfc. You will need your CD in the drive.
Thank you. I suspected, that the problem is connected with Groove; so I have uninstalled it then installed anew. Now Groove and Acrobat Reader works, OK.
Though I do not know precisely, what caused these problems. So, should I nevertheless change services which you have specified?
