Interesting Prob. open from start menu = MOVE ITEMS dialog

Hello I have an interesting problem occuring on my WinXP machine. Whenever I double click a folder in the start menu, I get a "Move Items" dialog box asking where I want to move that folder. I have to then click cancel, which causes the folder to open up like it should normally. What could be causing this problem and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance for any help!

EDIT: The problem also happens when I right click a folder and select any of these: Open, Open All Users, Explore, and Explore All Users. Does NOT happen when I right click and Open actual shortcuts (not folders). Also will only happen after Start > All Programs > then a folder

This is usually a side-effect of using a registry tweak or tweaking program to add "Copy To" and/or "Move To" to the context menu.

To solve the problem, remove these 2 entries from the context menu in the same way that you added them.

Use FileTargets instead of those 2 entries to remove this annoyance. This page:

The keys added to the registry are located here:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ AllFilesystemObjects \ shellex \ ContextMenuHandlers \

If the tweakers you used modified these, just remove the "Copy To" and the "Move To" entries.

If these are not the ones you added, what programs did you use?
