Don't have time to do a search of MS KB righjt now. Does anyone know for sure whether Word 97 or MSOffice 97 is compatible with Windows XP?

I'm using Office 97 on XP , but I only have Word installed off the Office 97 CD and it works without any problems.

If nothing else, you can always install the Office 97 components and run them in Win 98 Compatablity mode of you have to.:)

I use Eudora Pro for e-mail. I personally think most alternative products to Microsoft brand are superior. I've been using Eudora for about four years now.

I have a client who bought a new HP machine with Windows XP on it. (It's a shame they won't give you a choice between XP and 2000). It will run all of Microsoft Office except Word. We tried Office 97 and Office 2000. I've loaded these programs on at least a dozen XP machines and they run fine; but, for some reason it will not run on this HP.

Anyway, the customer is a doctor who has about six or so clinics and she didn't have time to fool around with it. She had someone run out and buy Office XP yesterday.

    HP was no help either.

I think we've been BillScrewed again.
