    Recently I thought it would be a smart and useful idea to create an unattend script to have a fully-automated install of Windows XP...however, to do this successfully I'd require a CD with XP and SP1 already slipstreamed...
    I've tried numerous times to create this Slipstreamed CD, but it never worked... Let me explain
    I've followed the detailed instructions on a MSFN site of how to directly slipstream the Sp1 package onto a WinXP CD...
    The problem comes to when I am trying to use my Slipped CD and setup windows...
    It will recognize the CD and begin the install process, however, upon initializing the devices (such as Scsi and such) and begin to load setup, it will just hang and nothing will happen.
    The screen stays at "Setup is starting windows" and never leaves this screen...
    I've tried several things to get past this;
    pressing f6/f7 during setup to install the HAL
    disabling the acmpi (?) in the bios
    flashing the bios to latest version
    unplugging equipment
    However, none seem to work..
    It's strange because the Orignal XP CD Works fine without me having to adjust things, however the CD with Sp1 slipped wont...
    Suggestions, Ideas, Comments are very welcome

    Thanks

    Jeremy
