I have Norton Systemworks on my pc, and it advises that I am missing a file called " gapi32.dll " from XP PRO. What does this file do, is it important. If so, where can I download it from.

    Many thanks

There is a .dll file in XPpro called regapi.dll, which is a system file (registry configuration API). I would suggest you run System File Checker. Go to Start -> Run -> type in
sfc /scannow (please note the 'space' after the c). Windows will ask for your 'XP disk' to be inserted in your CD drive. This should replace that file. HTH
