I thought this was a little odd, but when I created a home domain, and joined my laptop computer to it, I can no longer log into the domain when I am roaming, which of course loads a different profile. I was hoping that someone might have a solution to this.
I would prefer not to have to keep two profiles for myself.

    Thanks

Assuming you have XP-pro for the domain part to work.

Please expand on what you mean by when I am roaming.

My apologies. I'm normally better about being descriptive. It is XP Pro indeed. By roaming, I mean not connected to the network. I get a message stating that the domain is not available, which clearly it isn't, but I would like to utilize a single profile if at all possible. Even Win2k doesn't appear to have this issue, so I can't imagine XP not being capable of this.

In fact, XP-pro is usually better at it than 2K was. Same basic dodge where it assigns you a bogus IP address and other information.

But it may not work if you have static IP information. Never tried so don't know. DHCP assignment and it certainly should.
