Acces denied to some files

Hello,
I Run Win XP Pro SP1, I also run OpenOffice tools (same as Office 2000 of µsoft but free).
I did download a newer version of OpenOffice (OO0.1.1rc) . It was not possible to install and more it NOT possible to delete the folders and files (they are in a TEMP folder) as access is always denied. I tryed to get a solution from OpenOffice.org but without success..
OpenOffice says :"The only way to delete the files is to change the owner of the files, that's
not to easy in winxp home and professional editions since the advanced property
pages are hidden by default.
if you take ownership fo teh files as administrator you should then be able to delete them.
"
I tryed : "Hello,
I did try after login as Administrator, I did also try as
Administrator in safe mode (F8) and the result is NEGATIVE : Access
is denied
"I tryed to FORMAT the disk after moving, deleting all other folders,
the result is also NEGATIVE.
Please provide solution to remove these useless folders and files"

Any recommendation?
the entire isuue can be found at :

http://www.openoffice.org/project/ww...g.cgi?id=17364

Thanks in advance

Thanks for posting back and good that you got it fixed.

As a general rule, it's always a good idea to post a problem here before using format to solve it. There are usually less drastic fixes available. That holds true even if a support tech somewhere has said you must format. Lots of them suggest that when they don't have a clue about fixing a problem.
